Lebanon Bans Film That Was Partially Shot in Israel

Movie theaters in Lebanon are not allowed to show the Lebanese-made film “The Attack”, apparently because some of the scenes were shot in Tel Aviv using Israeli actors. On his Facebook page director Ziad Doueiri said the Lebanese Interior Minister is punishing him for shooting in Tel Aviv. The attack is based on a novel writted by Algerian author Yasmina Khadra and tells the story of an Arab surgeon who lives in Tel Aviv. It won three prizes at a French film festival in Hollywood this weekend.
