Lebanon will pay $33,000 to the owner of each house destroyed in the recent war between Israel and the Hizbullah. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Lebanese Prime Minster Fuad Siniora, who said that 130,000 housing units had been either destroyed or damaged by Israeli air strikes and in the course of ground warfare between Israel and the Hizbullah. Siniora said prefabricated homes will be made available to residents while neighborhoods are being rebuilt.
