War games underway by Lebanon’s combined military forces are being called “the most intricate ever.” Land forces are being joined by naval and aerial units in an exercise the aim of which its naval commander told the Beirut Daily Star is “for leaders to become experienced in organizing joint operations.” The paper quoted the British military attaché, one of the exercise’s observers, as saying that, “it shows the ability of the Lebanese Armed Forces to project force anywhere in the country and to be able to confidently guarantee stability in the country.”
