Sabah, the legendary Lebanese singer and actress who among other accomplishments was the first Arab singer to perform at such venues as London’s Piccadilly Theatre; the Sydney Opera House; and New York’s Carnegie Hall, died on Wednesday at the age of 87. Born Jeannette Feghali, the name Sabah was the character she played in an iconic Egyptian movie. In all, she starred in 87 Egyptian and Lebanese films; and 27 plays. Sabah was married nine times.
