A Little Weed is OK in Israeli Army?

Israeli media reports that the army is adopting a new policy that will allow off-duty soldiers to smoke marijuana up to five times without being prosecuted. The new policy is expected to take effect next year. The new policy would supersede current military orders calling to court-martial any soldier found with any narcotics, including marijuana, even when off-duty. Anyone found guilty has a notice placed in his permanent record, which could make it harder for him to get a job after the army. A ban on any drugs while on base will remain in force. Israel has universal military service, with men serving two years and eight months, and women serving for two years. Most ultra-Orthodox Jews, and Arab citizens in Israel do not serve in the army.
