The Israel Baseball League plays ball on Sunday, marking the arrival of American major league baseball to the Jewish state. Six teams will play a 45-game season with players recruited from around the world. Managers include well-known Jewish baseballers from past years, including the Mets’ Art Shamsky and the Cubs’ Ken Holtzman. Organizers hope the level of play will equal American "A" ball.
