Na’srallah: “Shi’ite Crescent Allegations Are Baseless”

Sheikh Hasan Na’srallah said on Monday that allegations of an Iranian intention to build a "Shiite Crescent" in the region or to "turn Sunnis into Shiites" were "baseless." The Hizbullah chief was speaking in south Beirut. The denial refers to comments Jordanian King Abdallah II made last December when he told The Washington Post that Iran sought to create a "Shi’ite crescent that included Iraq, Lebanon and Syria. Na’srallah said on Monday that, "We [Shi’ites] do not pose a threat to anyone."
