NATO defense ministers are meeting in Holland on Wednesday to consider their nations’ roles in Afghanistan. Some member states are beginning to make noises about their continued presence in the country, which is becoming increasingly violent. The United States wants to see some countries doing far more now to enable a substantial pullout of NATO troops down the road. Around 50 percent of NATO soldiers in Afghanistan are supplied by the Pentagon.
