Former Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu is leading all probable candidates for the prime ministership, according to a newly released poll. The survey was carried out by the Dahaf organization on behalf of the mass-circulation daily Yediot Aharonot. Results show a sizeable 52-30% Netanyahu lead over incumbent Ehud Olmert in a head-to-head contest. Where the eight leading contenders are listed, Netanyahu leads the pack with 27% against Russian émigré Avigdor Lieberman’s 15%, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni’s 14%, Shimon Peres’ 12%, Ehud Olmert’s 7%, former defense minister Shaul Mofaz’s 5%, former prime minister Ehud Barak’s 3% and incumbent Defense Minister Amir Peretz’s 1%.
