The owner of the New York-based satellite company HDTV Ltd. was sentenced to 17 months in prison for airing Al Manar – the in-house satellite channel of the Hizbullah terrorist organization. Saleh Elahwal admitted to the court that he was paid thousands of dollars for airing Al Manar between August 2006 and September 2006. The charge was providing material support to Hizbullah and carried a maximum sentence of 15 years.
