American food magazine Saveur has rated Tel Aviv as a must-visit destination for Foodies. Israel’s bohemian city was rated “outstanding” as both a culinary destination and in the “best markets and shops” category. Tel Aviv has almost 4500 businesses in the food industry, with more than one restaurant per 1000 people. The city is famous for Israeli staples like falafel and hummus, but also has a series of fine-dining restaurants offering modern Mediterranean food.
