Palestinian-American Could be Deported from US

Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, the associate director at the Arab American Action Network in Chicago might be deported for failing to tell US immigration officials that she was convicted in a 1969 terrorist bombing in Israel. Israel jailed Odeh for life for involvement in several bombings that year, including one in which a bomb hidden in a candy box in a supermarket killed two students at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She was released in a prisoner exchange with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 1980, and immigrated to the US from Jordan in 1995. She became a naturalized citizen in 2004 and was arrested in October for failing to mention her conviction in her immigration papers. If she pleads guilty she is likely to be deported.
