The Palestinian human rights organization Al-Haq has blasted the state of judicial affairs in both the Fatah-controlled West Bank and Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Al-Haq director Shahwan Jabbarin told reporters on Wednesday that illegally operating security forces loyal to the controlling power in each area are "running the country." He said the civilian judiciary was being undermined by military courts that are issuing arrest warrants against civilians.
