A new poll by the Ramallah-based PalestinianCenter for Policy and Survey Research shows a firm majority of Palestinians favoring the use of Hizbullah methodology against Israel; 63% of those polled supported the firing of rockets at Israeli cities, while only 35% disagreed. Another ominous finding was 57% in favor of carrying out attacks on Israeli civilians inside of Israel, as opposed to attacking only those living in post-1967 territories; 41% said they opposed such attacks. The poll’s positive findings were 77% in favor of a cease-fire between the Palestinians and Israel, and 74% of Palestinians believing that a political solution must be reached with Israel.
