Public Palestinian protests against the resumption of talks between Israel and the Palestinians continued on Tuesday, this time in the West Bank city of Nablus. A relatively small (“dozens”) but vocal group took to the streets as they had in Ramallah, the Palestinian administrative capital, on Sunday. Speakers derided “past American assurances that have proven unsuccessful in the past and will be unsuccessful in the future.” The latest rally was sponsored by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Palestinian Peoples’ Party and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
