A Palestinian source told The Media Line that members of the Islamic State in Syria dug up graves in cemeteries looking for the bodies of three Israeli soldiers believed to have been moved there after they were killed in the battle of Sultan Yakoub during the 1982 war in Lebanon. The ISIS search mission became known after the Islamist group was finally routed from strongholds around Damascus, including the Yarmouk refugee camp where some believed the bodies were buried back in 1982. There are also the bodies of two soldiers killed in 2014 that are believed to be held by Hamas that the Israelis are trying to locate.
