Palestinians Fire Anti-Tank Rockets at Israeli Troops

The Israel-Hamas ceasefire was broken again on Friday morning when two anti-tank missiles were fired at Israeli troops along the Israel-Gaza border. It was the second consecutive day in which the four-month old agreement was violated. On Thursday, a Qassam rocket landed near the Israeli town of Sderot. There were no injuries or damage in either incident. Friday’s attack came as soldiers who were sent to investigate suspicious movements near the Kissufim crossing point became the targets of anti-tank rounds. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak had already closed the crossing points where goods and people enter and leave the Gaza Strip in response to Thursday’s rocket attack.
