Palestinians Steal Soldiers’ Mobile Phones and Wallets

A group of Israeli soldiers training in the Jordan Valley — which is part of the area that Israel acquired in 1967 – who had left their cell phones and wallets with two soldiers who were guarding the area, returned to find the phones and wallets gone. The soldiers tasked with watching the valuables were coming of a particularly long shift and fell asleep. When they woke up, the phones and wallets were gone: apparently stolen by Palestinians who were in the area. Although weapons and other military equipment were left untouched, Israel Radio said the theft is being considered a potentially serious security breach.
