Qassam Rockets Continue To Be Fired

The Olmert-‘Abbas summit meeting on Saturday has apparently had no effect on stemming the flow of Qassam rockets fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel. Two more were launched on Monday morning, one of which landed just inside the border, causing no damage. Where the second one landed is unknown. On Sunday, four rockets fell inside Israel, the most serious landing near a nursery school in the town of Sderot. Fifty-five Qassams have been launched at Israel since a cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinian factions went into effect last month. Also on Sunday, an Israeli civilian was shot in the leg when he came under fire while driving in post-1967 territories. His wounds were reported to be moderate. The shooters escaped.
