Sources in Lebanon are reporting that Israeli fighter jets attacked Hizbullah targets along the Lebanese-Syrian border on Monday. The Beirut-based newspaper Daily Star said four sorties were flown against the Janta area on the Lebanese side that is known to have a strong Hizbullah presence. It’s also a well-known route for weapons to be moved through en route from Syria to Hizbullah. Other news services reported Israeli war planes active over the Beqqa Valley. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the group that monitors the Syrian civil war, reported that a Hizbullah missile base was the target of the attack. The newspaper Al-Arabyia reported that several Hizbullah operatives were killed in the air strikes.
