An Algerian newspaper has reported that Israel is using its satellites"Ofek 6" and "Ofek 7" to spy on vital Algerian military installations. The Algeria News newspaper says that the satellites were trying to obtain images of the Algerian air base in Umm Bawaki, which is largest military air base in Africa, and two Algerian nuclear reactors. The trigger for the satellite sweep was reportedly a huge boost in military deals by the North African country, particularly with Russia, making it one of the largest arms buyers in the Arab world and Africa.
