“Right of Palestinian Return” Organization Opens Beirut Office

FIRM, The Palestinian Organization for the Right of Return, opened an office in Beirut on Friday. According to the Daily Star newspaper, the group’s organizers described it as a "non-governmental, cultural entity, whose activities encompass issues related to the Palestinian diaspora." FIRM’s literature explains its goal as "the creation of a lobby that would make the voice of Palestinian refugees heard." It argues that Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homeland is a core issue at the heart of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
