The international president of Rotary International traveled to Ramallah on Sunday to present the Ramallah club with its charter, the first in the Palestinian territories in decades. President John Kenny and officials from the Jerusalem club were present for the ceremony at the Grand Club Hotel. The club was officially sponsored by Rotary clubs of Petra, Jordan and Colorado Springs. Kenny told celebrants that the Palestinian flag will be presented next month at the organization’s international convention in Montreal, Canada.
