Russian State Duma Vice Speaker Vladimir Zhirinovsky has located the grave of his father — in Israel. Zhirinovsky, who heads the Liberal Democratic Party, spoke to reporters before traveling to Israel where, on Monday, he visited the grave in the cemetery at Holon, near Tel Aviv. His father immigrated to Israel in 1949 and died there in 1983. Zhirinovsky is a controversial figure in world politics, having praised Adolf Hitler’s National-Socialism ideology and having called for military aggression against Russia’s neighbors to the south. He also threatened to take Alaska back from the Americans and use nuclear weapons against Japan.
