Responding to Lebanese President Saad Al-Hariri’s dismissal of reports that Hizbullah has received Scud missiles from Syria, U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-Cal.) was reported to have countered, “I believe there is likelihood that there are Scuds that Hizbullah has in Lebanon. A high likelihood.” Feinstein chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee. But the Senator drew some criticism among Israelis over her assurance that “There’s only one thing that’s going to solve it [the issue of Scuds in Lebanon], and that’s a two-state solution.” Commenting on the report, a senior pundit suggested to The Media Line that “it would be helpful if the Senator would explain that one a little bit better.”
