A Palestinian man who was released from an Israeli prison as part of the deal that re-patriated Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit after five years as a Hamas-held hostage was arrested on Friday for throwing Molotov cocktails at Israeli soldiers. More than 1,000 security prisoners were set free in order to obtain Shalit’s freedom. The arrest comes amid strong resistance by Israel’s populace to releasing additional prisoners as part of any peace deal with the Palestinians.
