A Spanish photographer working for the Associated Press was kidnapped early Tuesday morning. According to AP, Emilio Morenatti, 37, was getting into his vehicle outside his home when four masked gunmen seized him. Spokesman for both the Hamas government and Mahmoud ‘Abbas condemned the kidnapping; Hamas saying it "damages the reputation of the Palestinian people."
