Syrian television is reporting that officials are still working to identify those behind Saturday’s massive car bomb in Damascus that left 17 dead and 14 wounded. An estimated 450 pounds of explosives was detonated in a residential neighborhood. One cabinet minister has termed the incident a "terror attack," while some have surmised it was a "work accident." An opposition group is claiming it has an eyewitness who saw the vehicle enter the street from a building belonging to a group related to Syrian intelligence just before it blew up. The group, the Syrian Reform Party, claims those killed by the presumably premature blast were members of Syrian intelligence, and not civilians as the government is reporting.
