The Taliban have released a video depicting an American soldier it captured last June in eastern Afghanistan. Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl is the only American known to be held by the enemy. The soldier delivers an angry tirade aimed at American conduct of the war in Afghanistan and on U.S. relations with Muslims. A Navy spokesman responded to the video, calling it a “horrible act which exploits a young soldier, who was clearly compelled to read a prepared statement.”
