Terror Tunnel Ran Beneath Gaza, Egypt and Israel

The Israeli military has released details of the terror tunnel it discovered and destroyed on Saturday – the fourth underground structure to be found since October. The latest tunnel, owned by the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists, stands out among those previously discovered by virtue of its size, sophistication and placement — running beneath Israeli, Egyptian and Gazan territory. Authorities were quoted as saying “several dozen” fighters plus armament could maneuver through the subterranean passage way. The Israeli defense minister has said that Iran has given at least $100 million that is shared by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. He also revealed that the Hamas terrorism budget for 2017 included $260 million just for construction of tunnels and the manufacturing of rockets. Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Abu-Jubeir on Tuesday reminded a Brussels conference that Iran continues to be the most dangerous threat in the region because of its role behind the terrorists in Yemen, Syria and Lebanon. He added that the nuclear agreement “needs improvement to prevent Tehran from enriching uranium.”
