Thousands of Gazans Charge Through Border Wall into Egypt

When Palestinian gunmen blew holes in the border wall separating Egypt from the Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning, tens of thousands of Gazans rushed through the breaches into Egypt where they bought food, fuel, and cigarettes. Egyptian border guards stood by and made no attempts to stem the tide. On Tuesday, the Egyptians turned water canon on Gazans demonstrating at the Rafah crossing point and trying to break through the border.
