Rocket fire into Israel from the Gaza Strip continued at a fierce pace on Tuesday. In the southern town Sderot, the most frequent target for the Palestinian rocket-launchers, six Qassams landed with one scoring a direct hit on a home. The house was empty at the time and no injuries were reported. Six mortar rounds also fell in Sderot, also causing no damage or injuries. The Israeli army reported that at least 18 rockets and "dozens of mortar shells" were fired at Israel on Monday. By early Wednesday morning, at least three rockets had landed in Israel.
