Turkey Charges US with Support of ISIS and Kurdish Terrorists in Syria

The US State Department says the charge is “ludicrous,” but Turkey’s president claims the United States is supporting the Islamic State and Kurdish terrorists in Syria. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan alleged on Tuesday that “The coalition forces are unfortunately not keeping their promises,” as Turkish soldiers were taking casualties while fighting ISIS and Kurdish militia in an effort to take the town of El-Bab. Erdogan is angry at the US for not providing the support for Turkish troops he claims was promised and remains enraged at Washington for not extraditing exiled cleric Fethullah Gulen, the man Erdogan blames for organizing a failed coup d’état against him. Erdogan raged on that he could supply photos and videos proving that the US is “supporting all the terror groups – the YPG, PYD but also including Daesh (ISIS).”
