Two Al-Qa’ida Operatives, Dressed as Women, Dead in Saudi Shootout

Saudi police shot and killed a suspected Al-Qa’ida operative and arrested a second after the pair, one of whom was dressed as a women, opened fire on them at a checkpoint in central Saudi Arabia on Saturday. A spokesman for the interior ministry reported that the pair began shooting at the police after their car was stopped at the checkpoint. Saudi officials claim to have made strong headway in preventing Al-Qa’ida operations in the kingdom. At least 150 Al-Qa’ida members have been arrested in recent months.
