A Cypriot passenger ship collided with a cargo vessel off the coast of Israel on Thursday night, after mechanical problems on board the ferry. Eyewitnesses said the passenger ship, carrying some 500 people, sailed straight through the cargo ship. The Slovakian cargo boat immediately capsized and sank. Israeli rescue teams brought 11 sailors to safety. However, the bodies of two others were discovered on Friday.
