The inspection team from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) wrapped up its three-day visit to Syria where it was allowed to inspect the site destroyed by Israel last September. It reported inconclusive findings – the result expected because Syria bulldozed the remains of the building following the Israeli raid. Israel and the U.S. insist the site was a nuclear reactor built with help from North Korea, while Syria claims the Israelis hit a non-nuclear military installation. Syrian Vice President Farouk A-Shara’ said the visit was only allowed in order to prove the American and Israeli charges wrong. Syria denied the IAEA permission to inspect at least three other sites identified by the U.S. as possible nuclear locations.
