U.S. Chief of Staff in Tel Aviv to discuss joint missile defense system. Iran says it has photos taken by Ayoub drone over Israel

Al Quds Al Arabi daily, London 30 October 2012

Meanwhile, Martin Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, continued his visit to Israel, which started on Sunday, to discuss joint missile defense system training. He already met with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Sunday and, according to a communiqué released by Barak’s office, discussed with him the details of a joint exercise, which is due to last three weeks, simulating a missile attack on Israel launched simultaneously from Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Gaza.

Ismail Kowsari, a member of Iran’s parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, has said that Iran has photographs taken by a drone sent by Hezbollah over Israel. The drone, he said, managed to penetrate Israel’s airspace and took photos of highly sensitive locations and sent them back in real time. “We have those photos in our hands now,” Kowsari said, adding that Iran has the capacity to manufacture a drone that can carry weapons and “if Israel launches whatever aggressive move against us, our response will be at the level of the whole region.”
