US Administration Accuses Israel of Leaking Inaccurate Information about Iranian Deal

The White House on Wednesday accused Israel of leaking inaccurate information about the negotiations between Washington and Tehran of the Iranian nuclear program. Spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters that, “There’s no question that some of the things that the Israelis have said in characterizing our negotiating position have not been accurate.” He denied, however, reports that Israel has been cut off from the flow of information concerning the talks, and stressed that high-level talks between the administration and the Israelis are continuing. But Earnest did say regarding the Israelis that, “There is a continued practice of cherry-picking specific pieces of information and using them out of context to distort the negotiating position of the United States.” Simultaneously, the State Department was driving the point home when spokeswoman Jan Psaki told reporters that, “I think it is safe to say not everything you are hearing from the Israeli government is an accurate reflection of the details of the talks.”
