The United States announced on Monday that it was easing some of its economic sanctions against Iran after it was reported that the Islamic Republic is reducing its uranium enrichment efforts by diluting its weapons-level stockpile. The Treasury Department said it suspended the ban on foreigners engaging in transactions involving oil, gold and precious metals.
