It seems to be that thing President Trump has about walls. It’s not just his signature wall between the US and Mexico that keeps stumbling over the question of where the money is coming from. According to the Israeli financial newspaper The Marker, another of the president’s signature-issues, moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, is also stalled by a wall. The administration is demanding that the property housing the embassy must have a wall around it: but nobody budgeted for the wall. Other necessities are taken care of, such as an escape route for the Ambassador and his staff for which the Office of the [Israeli] Prime Minister is picking up the tab. But some involved in the project believe construction can be far enough along for the move by the target date of May 15.
