US News & World Report has listed the state of Israel the 8th strongest nation in the world. For those who argue that the Jewish state has become a legitimate super-power, the magazine’s selection process provides support for the theory. Not surprisingly, the United States, Russia and China are the world’s strongest followed by Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Japan. The listing came as part of the magazine’s annual “Best Countries” piece, in the category of “Power.” Overall, Israel was listed as the 30th on the list of powerful nations.
