The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the United States and Israel are concerned that amid the upheaval in Syria, weapons of mass destruction will find their way into the hands of terrorist groups. President Bashar Al-Asad is believed to be in possession of chemical weapons and long-range missiles capable of delivering the deadly loads. The list of unconventional agents includes mustard gas, VX and Sarin gas according to the report which also cited fears that North Korea has provided Syria with “nuclear-related material.” There are at least five production facilities for the unconventional agents, some of which is stored alongside SCUD missiles.
