Amazing Jerusalem – In the Footsteps of Jesus in the Galilee (Part I)

Tue, Mar 2, 2021 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM Israel Standard Time (UTC+2)

Tickets ($22.29) here.

Follow Jesus’ footsteps in a 1-hour virtual tour and visit the Galilee with an Israeli licensed tour guide.

About this Event

Tour will also include biblical references and a glance to Jewish life in the Galilee in the first century CE.

Start at the village of Nazareth, where the annunciation to Mary occurred (Luke 1:26-38, John 1:14) and where HE grew as a young boy, then see where he was rejected by the people of Nazareth (Luke 4:14-30) at Mt. Precipice as you enjoy the views of the Jezreel valley and Mt. Tabor(some think this is the location of the transfiguration).

Proceed from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee by looking at the area of Jesus’s ministry from the top of Mt. Arbel while figuring the geography of the Galilee.

End your first online Galilee experience with a visit to the recently excavated village of Magdala where perhaps Jesus ministered in the synagogue whose remains are visible and wonder about the mysterious “Magdala stone” that made this site a must-see by any pilgrim to the Holy Land. Reflecting at the Duc in Altum (Luke 5:4) in Magdala while absorbing the views at the boat altar, the women’s atrium. Finally, the large painting (titled “Encounter”) gives us a snapshot of the encounter of the hemorrhaging woman who tries to touch Jesus for healing (Mark 5: 25-29).

You will visit:

  • Annunciation church in Nazareth
  • Nazareth village
  • Mt. Precipice and lookout to the Jezreel valley
  • Mt. Arbel lookout to the Sea of Galilee
  • Magdala: Synagogue, village and church
  • Continue this journey by participating in “Sea Of Galilee Holy Sites” virtual tour.

What to expect

Your tour guide will make this online experience of the Galilee alive by showing panoramic moving photos, aerial images and drone pictures besides unique lookout views that you cannot have even on a real tour. As well, the tour guide will also show maps, diagrams and models so history takes shape.
