“Sand Comes Through the Window,” a solo exhibit by Palestinian artist Taysir Batniji, will be on display at Mina Image Centre in Beirut until August 11. The exhibition is composed of a series of photographs representing the artist’s connection to the Palestinian Territories. Born in the Gaza Strip in 1966, Batniji studied art at Al-Najah University in the West Bank city of Nablus and was later awarded a fellowship in France in the 1990s. Since then, he has been dividing his time between France and the Palestinian Territories.
