Eurovision Contest Events Begin in Tel Aviv

The opening events for the Eurovision Song Contest begin this evening, May 12, in Tel Aviv, this year’s host city after Israeli Netta Barzilai’s victory last year in Portugal for her song “Toy.”  The Orange Carpet and welcome ceremony are set to take place at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square. The first semi-final live broadcast will take place on Tuesday, May 14, and the grand final will cap it all off on Saturday, May 18.
