jHUB Hanukkah Cookie Bake: Women’s Night-In

jHUB Hanukkah Cookie Bake: Women’s Night-In

Wed, Dec 16, 2020, 7 to 8 pm Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5)

Register here.

Join us for another jHUB women’s night where we will share and learn each other’s delicious cookie recipes!

When you register, you will be asked to submit a special recipe for a cookie (or other desserts) that you or your family makes for specific holidays or celebrations. You will also be asked to submit a one- or two-line description about why that recipe is special or meaningful to you.

On Friday, December 11 we will randomly assign each person a recipe and description without letting them know who it belongs to. You will have until Wednesday, December 16 to make the recipe, and then when we come together on the evening of the 16th we will all share what we made and the description and try to guess who the recipe belongs to!

In addition, we will learn about Eid al-Banat, a holiday celebrated by women throughout the Mediterranean (Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Greece, and Turkey) on the Rosh Chodesh that falls during Hanukkah. One of the customs of this day is for women to cook and bake together.
