Lebanon’s annual Baalbeck International Festival, the self-proclaimed “oldest and most prestigious cultural event in the Middle East,” is ending this summer’s program this weekend. Remaining acts include French rising singing sensation Jain on August 1, Lebanese singer Jahida Wehbe on August 2, and Oud virtuoso Omar Bashir and his band playing music from Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq on August 3.
