Over 2,000 people are expected to attend on Saturday “The First Middle East Festival” in Mississauga, Ontario, just outside of Toronto. Organizers believe it is the first festival of its type to take place in Canada and are expecting contributions from many Middle Eastern groups with backgrounds such as Iraq, Syria, Yemen, the Palestinian Territories, Lebanon and more. The festival is a joint effort by non-profits Yes2Iraq, Canadian Network of Iraqi Engineers & Architects (CNIEA) and The Iraqi Home in Ontario.
