Salamo alaïkom! I’m Youssef, a 31-year-old Berber from Rif Mountains in Morocco. I invite you to the Blue Town of Сhefchaouen where I was born. I love everything here – tranquility, charming blue streets and alleys, the kindness of local citizens. You’ll feel like you’re a member of a large family because everyone knows each other.
We’ll walk from Bab Elaine Gate through Instagram-famous blue streets of Chefchaouen – some noisy, others calm
You’ll see a local market of Medina where locals sell food, Moroccan dresses and slippers, famous Berber teapots, organic soap and carpets
I’ll show you top Instagram locations – the Berber alphabet, Instagram Staircase steps, the big place Outa El Hamam, the old Kasbah and Grand mosque with the beautiful mountain view
You’ll hear stories about seven types of our traditional bread including our famous one that we call “Harsha” (a cornbread)
We’ll meet local people and local cats who are a part of our lovely city, too 🙂
