THE GREAT STATE OF INDIANA

What comes to mind when you think of the U.S. state of Indiana? Join us on Tuesday to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth! One of our colleagues at the Embassy is excited to share insights about the culture and economics of his U.S. state!
Dr. Sam was born and raised in southern Indiana. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis, as well as other universities in the United States, and earned a Ph.D. With a wide and extensive international work experience, he recently landed in Tunis to work with the Libya External Office. Whether you’re interested in learning about the cities or farms of Indiana, migration or sports, music or museums, our friend Sam has you covered! Everyone is welcome to register.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) & INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

What will the future of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) look like? What role can corporations play in international development? At this event, an American professional will highlight how uniting public, private, and social stakeholders around the same cause can increase impact. Join us and learn how corporations are making a difference through innovative engagement methods. This event is most relevant to young professionals in general and corporate professionals in particular, but everyone is welcome to register.
About the speaker:
Molly Wartenberg is a senior program coordinator at PYXERA Global where she manages pro bono projects. Prior to joining PYXERA Global, Molly worked with the Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs at USAID and Development Transformations, a federal contracting firm specializing in post-conflict areas. In 2014, she spent four months studying and working at a local grassroots NGO in Amman. Molly holds a bachelor of science in foreign service degree in international politics and Arab studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A YES EXCHANGE STUDENT

Are you curious about the YES exchange program for high school students? Join us on Friday for a live video call with Farah Saoudi, who is currently in the United States on this State Department-sponsored program. We will watch a vlog about Farah’s typical day at her American school in Washington, then hear from her directly. Farah will answer any questions you have about the program’s application process and her experience in the U.S. so far. This event is most relevant to high school students and their parents, but everyone is welcome to register.
